Recommended Slicer Settings
Creality Slicer
- Quality -> Arc Configure Enable -> Disable
- Experimental -> Exclude Objects -> Enabled
Getting Started
- Power on the machine using the switch located on the back left of the printer.
- Verify there are no obstructions in the printer
- Verify the build plate is in place
- If needed, clean the build plate with isopropyl alcohol
- Slice your model using one of the supported slicers
- Send the GCode to the printer using one of the options
- Option 1: Creality Slicer
- Make sure you have added the K1 Max to the list of devices using the IP Address
- Slice your model
- Select LAN Printing
- Name your gcode file to send (recommended to include name/handle) and click Confirm
- Select K1 Max from the Device list
- Option 2: Using webpage
- Save your gcode file (recommended to include name/handle)
- Open the printer webpage
- Scroll down to the file list and select Import
- Select your gcode file and upload
- Option 3: USB
- Save your gcode file (recommended to include name/handle)
- Copy gcode file to a thumb drive
- Insert drive in usb port at bottom left of the front of the printer
- Option 1: Creality Slicer
- Select model to print and start pritn
Changing filament
- Select the settings icon from the touch screen
- Select Extrude/Extract tab
- Tap Retract
- The printer will automatically heat up and retract the filament from the hot end
- Remove the filament from the PTFE tube
- Flip the silver filament lock switch on top of the hotend to the unlocked position
- Mount the new roll of filament to the spool holder
- Feed the filament through the PTFE tube
- The filament may have some resistance as it reaches bends in the tube, make sure the filament has made it all the way into the hot end
- Lock the silver switch on top of the hot end
- Set filament temperature on the touch screen
- Click Extrude
