Getting Started

  1. Power on the machine using the switch located on the back left of the printer.
  2. Verify there are no obstructions in the printer
  3. Verify the build plate is in place
    1. If needed, clean the build plate with isopropyl alcohol
  4. Slice your model using one of the supported slicers
  5. Send the GCode to the printer using one of the options
    1. Option 1: Creality Slicer
      1. Make sure you have added the K1 Max to the list of devices using the IP Address
      2. Slice your model
      3. Select LAN Printing
      4. Name your gcode file to send (recommended to include name/handle) and click Confirm
      5. Select K1 Max from the Device list
    2. Option 2: Using webpage
      1. Save your gcode file (recommended to include name/handle)
      2. Open the printer webpage
      3. Scroll down to the file list and select Import
      4. Select your gcode file and upload
    3. Option 3: USB
      1. Save your gcode file (recommended to include name/handle)
      2. Copy gcode file to a thumb drive
      3. Insert drive in usb port at bottom left of the front of the printer
  6. Select model to print and start pritn

Changing filament

  1. Select the settings icon from the touch screen
  2. Select Extrude/Extract tab
  3. Tap Retract
    1. The printer will automatically heat up and retract the filament from the hot end
  4. Remove the filament from the PTFE tube
  5. Flip the silver filament lock switch on top of the hotend to the unlocked position
  6. Mount the new roll of filament to the spool holder
  7. Feed the filament through the PTFE tube

  8. Lock the silver switch on top of the hot end
  9. Set filament temperature on the touch screen
  10. Click Extrude
