Unallocated Space has acquired the parts to start building a 3D printer called a RepRap Prusa Mendel.
Unallocated Space has two main 3D printers set up for use. The Creality K1 Max and Creality CR-10.

This bot will be a valuable addition to the space and can be used as a source of custom one off parts as well as fun odds and ends.
These are connected to a laptop with the Cura slicer software.

The 3D printing initiative will be headed up by Hexjunkie, please see him if you have any questions.

Common Problems

If you receive the following error message when launching Cura from Terminal, or nothing happens when you launch Cura through the GUI, do this:

Error message: /usr/share/cura-lulzbot/cura-lulzbot: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.28' not found (required by /usr/share/cura-lulzbot/cura-lulzbot)

Solution: In terminal, run the command "sudo apt remove -y cura-lulzbot && sudo apt install -y cura-lulzbot=3.2.32" (without quotes) .

If you cannot save a profile in Cura, make sure you own all the files/directories in your home folder. We had this issue when someone ran it using sudo.

Solution: sudo chmod -R unallocatedspace:unallocatedspace ~/
